Ragin ft. DRW, Conscious Route, Beat Produced by Sean El, Vocals Mixed Mastered by Drew Devine , single release available on Bandcamp.

True Hold Records artist, Conscious Route teamed up with local Edinburgh youth organisation Citadel. Conscious Route worked alongside Danny Wiedenhof aka DRW, who is a senior member of Citadel youth service. Over the space of 5 sessions, the pair wrote lyrics and recorded for a rap song from start to finish. The process was documented by Edinburgh Undersounds' Jason Calder, who was also behind the shooting and production for the video for the track. Other people involved in the overall project include Drew Devine (Sons of Scotland), who worked on vocals production and mastering, and Sean El (United Front), who produced the beats.
Funding was granted by Creative Scotland, from Cash Back creativity scheme. The funding was originally part of a 3 month project run by Urban Lotus representative, Danny Ladwa. Danny Wiendenhof was a participant and a trainee sound engineer involved in the project, with funding granted for his trainee role to offer him more experience in a field of his choice related to music.

Documentary

The Documentary will follow the video released over December as a four-part series. The documentary looks over the creative process to create a product as a whole, looking at writing, recording and video production. The documentary has guest speakers who were involved in the process. The speakers talk a little about their art, while also giving tips and handy advice to up and coming beat makers, MCs and video makers. Guest speakers include Andy Thomas (Citadel Deputy Manager, Conscious Route (Rap Workshop Leader/ Artist @ True Hold Records), Sean El (Beat Maker/Rapper for United Front), Drew Devine aka Werd (Vocal Recording Engineer/Rapper - Sons Scotland Records), Jason Calder & Darren Knox (Video Production team(Edinburgh Undersound).
